    POWEREDBYPOPCORNLOGODear Pack 250 Families,

We’re very excited about the 2010 Popcorn Sale fundraiser and all that it has to offer!  The goal for each Scout this year is $350 in sales.  Please remember that selling popcorn is the only fundraiser that Pack 250 participates in.  With the commission from meeting our sales goals, our Pack has been able to fund all the Scouting activities for your son(s) throughout the entire year without an additional fee to each Scout.  Those activities include all advancements, rank handbooks, Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta, and Rocket Launch kits, annual BSA registration fees, Boy’s Life subscriptions, and popcorn prizes for each Scout in addition to the Blue & Gold Banquet and general Pack expenses.  Unfortunately, we did not reach our goal last year, so let’s make this our best year yet and get those boys excited about selling.

Again for 2010, your Scout will be able to sell popcorn in 3 ways:

    1. Show & Deliver:  You sell the popcorn and deliver it at the same time.
    2. Take Order:  You take an order, collect the money, and deliver the product in November.
    3. Online:  You register at Trail’s End, send e-mails to all your family & friends across the country, and sit back to watch your sales soar.

Service Project Opportunity From Kaye Boone

As I mentioned at the last leader meeting, there are two potential community service opportunities coming up for your scouts if they need or want to do one:

    1.  Help with Operation Thanksgiving Turkey.  This is a wonderful outreach for families in our community led by Ken Ramaley (Sharks leader).  See the attached file OTT 2009 brochure for a description of the different types of help needed and contact Ken (kjramaley@gmail.com) if you or your scouts would like to participate.

    2.  Help shelve food brought in through Scouting for Food.  The sharks are scheduled to help on Dec 8, 4-5:30pm.  Please email me if you are interested in helping so that I know how many to expect.
