Happy Holidays to everyone, I hope your time off is going well.
I’m excited to be part of the Pack 250 leadership team and while Matt set the bar high as Cubmaster, I have a vision and plan for the pack that will bring opportunities for learning and fun like never before. To help ensure that our planned activities are a success, here’s the leadership committee for 2010: Read the rest of this entry »

No matter rain, sleet, or snow the Pack must march on!Pack 250 braves the weather elements on Saturday December 5th 2009 and marches in the Fort Mill, SC parade. Luckily the rain held off for the parade but it was cold.
Pictured left are our Webelos getting ready with the lead flags for the parade in a Norman Rockwell style painting/photo .

Service Project Opportunity From Kaye Boone
As I mentioned at the last leader meeting, there are two potential community service opportunities coming up for your scouts if they need or want to do one:
1. Help with Operation Thanksgiving Turkey. This is a wonderful outreach for families in our community led by Ken Ramaley (Sharks leader). See the attached file OTT 2009 brochure for a description of the different types of help needed and contact Ken (kjramaley@gmail.com) if you or your scouts would like to participate.
2. Help shelve food brought in through Scouting for Food. The sharks are scheduled to help on Dec 8, 4-5:30pm. Please email me if you are interested in helping so that I know how many to expect.

Many of you were asking for more info on the Gold Rush Campout. It’s a BIG District campout with over 30 Packs attending. LOTS of FUN.
My suggestion for meals would be eat on the way in on Friday night. Have a simple breakfast Sat. morning, Have a family lunch or maybe Courtney’s BBQ. Make a special dinner with your Den. Maybe your Den needs a Grubmaster??? Eat something simple Sunday morning and hit a drive thru on the way home.
Next Pack Meeting – Oct. 20th
The October 20th Pack meeting will be at 7:04pm, at Grace Church. The theme is “Jungle Safari”. REMEMBER: Popcorn forms and money must be turned in at this pack meeting.
2009 Gold Rush – Oct. 23-25
Westminster Park – Rock Hill
