I hope everyone had a great summer!! It’s that time of year again for Pack 250 . . . popcorn, Popcorn, POPCORN!!! I hope everyone will join us for our first Pack Meeting and Popcorn Kickoff where we’ll show you all the great products this year (did someone say Kettle Corn) and tell you about the sale (wait until you see the prizes)!!! So please join us on Tuesday, September 6th at 7:00 PM at Grace Church. Make sure you arrive before 7:00 to receive a door prize ticket.In the meantime, it is time to order your popcorn for Show & Deliver. This year, we have the opportunity to order Unbelievable Butter (6), Butter Light (6), Caramel Corn (12), and Caramel Corn w/Nuts (8) by the case. Please remember that you will not be asked to pay for this popcorn until the end of the sale after you have collected money from your customers. Good afternoon Pack 250!
The annual Gold Rush family campout is coming up October 21-23 at Westminster Park in Rock Hill. The cost is $9 per scout, $6 per sibling, and adults are free. RSVP’s and payment must be received by Tuesday, September 6th. Next Saturday, August 27th will be our last activity to qualify your scout for the Summertime Pack Award. If you have not yet fulfilled your August activity, now is your chance!
We will be participating in Eco Trekking at the US National Whitewater Facility. Eco Trekking is similar to Geo Caching but with an educational twist. The facility is located at 5000 Whitewater Center Parkway, Charlotte, NC. Wanting to join Cub Scouts in Fort Mill or Tega Cay? Come to School Night For Scouting September 1st 2011 at Gold Hill Elementary School Cafeteria at 7pm to talk to the leaders of Fort Mill Pack 250 and get a chance to sign up your son for Cub Scouts.You don’t have to be a student at Gold Hill to join. We welcome boys in first grade through fifth grade—or 7 to 10 years old from any school including home school.
If you can’t make September 1st, come to our Pack meeting at Grace Presbyterian Church Tuesday September 6th on Hwy 160 at 7pm. Or email our Cubmaster anytime cubmaster250@gmail.com.

Pack 250,
As many of you know, my term as Cubmaster of Pack 250 ends with our December pack meeting this year as my son will be bridging over into Boy Scouts in February. A committee was put into place earlier this year to search for a new Cubmaster. In April we came to a final decision and have chosen a very qualified individual. I am very happy to tell you that Gordon Folz will be taking over as Cubmaster of Pack 250 after the December Pack Meeting in 2011. Gordon has been with Pack 250 as a parent and as a leader of Den 3 for many years. He and his wife, Teresa have 2 sons in Pack 250. Brandon is a Webelos 2 in the Scorpions den and Ryan is a Bear in Den 3. Steve Henderson will be taking Gordon’s place as leader of Den 3. Gordon will be shadowing me in the events to come this Fall but I am very confident that the transition to a new Cubmaster will be seamless.Please join me in congratulating Gordon Folz as the next Cubmaster of Pack 250!!
