A message from our Chartered Organization Representative Dave Harkins

Dear Grace Scouting family,

For those of you who participated in Scout Sunday today at Grace
Presbyterian, please accept a big “Thank You” from me for your role in
making our service a success.  Many of our members came up to me after
the service and expressed their gratitude for our work today in bring
them the message of service this day.

If you weren’t with us today, I hope that you have or will participate
in Scout Sunday in your regular place of worship. There were Scout
Sunday patches given out today.

Our message today was one of service to others, especially those less
fortunate than ourselves.  All of us, as Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts,
Venturers and adult Scouting volunteers,  live this life of service to
others every day as we follow your “code of conduct” through the Cub
Scout Promise, the Boy Scout Oath, or the Venturing Oath.  The

Every day each of you amaze me with your commitment to Scouting, your
commitment to your own personal spiritual growth, and your unfailing
desire to serve others.  You make me proud to be a Scout and a member of
the 250 units at Grace, but most of all, I’m proud to be your friend.
