Hello Pack 250!  March is going to be another great month of scouting.  Here are the upcoming events in March:

• March 6th – Cub Scout Pow Wow – 8:30AM at West End Baptist Church in Rock Hill.  $10 registration fee.  Classes will be taught  for camping, knots, youth protection training, Dutch Oven Cooking, Derby Derby and more, etc.  Advanced registration is required, please reply to this email if you’re interested.

• March 13th – Hockey Game with the Scouts – Have your pictures taken on the ice and receive a discounted rate for attending the game.  $8/ticket.  Please register for the Checker’s game using the e-vite that was sent out so there is an accurate count.  The whole family is invited.

• March 23rd – Raingutter Regatta – I hope the scouts are having fun building their boats.  The competition will be tough – who has the design and the lungs to win?  We’ll find out on the 23rd.  See you at Grace Church on Tuesday the 23rd with your boats – the race will begin at 7PM.  Please contact your Den Leaders if you have not received your Raingutter Regatta kit.  Den Leaders, contact Kaye Boone if you need kits.

• March 27th – Pack250 is adopting Pitcairn Park!  The newspaper will be there and a special plaque will be put up in our name.  Be prepared to do a little work – some small trees and flowers will be planted, mulch will be spread, birdhouses will be installed, and the trail will be picked up.  This event will also apply toward the World Conservation Badge, so please plan to attend on March 27th at Pitcairn Park from 9AM – 11AM.  Den Leaders will have more details.

Also, due to a small budget shortfall, we will be selling the remaining popcorn that we have leftover from the popcorn sale to obtain the funds we need to make it through the end of the year.  We have about 17 cases of popcorn left from the sale (~$1250 value) that we will be selling at the Raingutter Regatta, Graduation Campout, the Rocket Launch, and a few other events.  Call to action – we could use your help in selling the remaining popcorn.  There’s not much left – we have butter, butter light, caramel, and trail mix.  If you would like to purchase some popcorn or help out with selling what’s left, please let us know (reach out to your Den Leader or myself).

We are planning a very special surprise event but for now it’s a secret.  Stay tuned for a special event announcement that the scouts will remember for a long time to come.
