Message From Matt To Pack 250 Families
No CommentsTonight, I “retire” as Cubmaster of Pack 250. Don’t panic, I may no longer be in the spot light, but I will still be around to help make Scouting FUN.
Over the past few weeks I’ve looked back at the past six years in the Pack. It has been a blessing to see your boys become young men
I was never a Scout as a child and just wanted my sons to have a good experience as Scouts. It has been a blast being the biggest kid in the Pack. Hopefully your son had as much fun as I did and whether he knew it or not, has learned something along the way; “Do your best”, a goodturn, leave no trace, presenting the colors all are valuable lessons that will effect the way they see the world throughout their life.
My heartfelt gratitude goes to my wife, Janet and my sons, Joey and Westley. Janet kept the wheels turning behind the scenes day in and day out. The boys reminded me to look at Cub Scouts through their eyes.
Thank you to our families for your support. Your popcorn sales are unmatched by anyone in the District or Council. No other Pack offers five years of Scouting for $35. Your dedication to the Pack fueled everything I do. To our Leaders, thank you for the tireless hours you work to make your Dens and the Pack a success. And most importantly to our Scouts, for their curiosity, kindness, and silliness that keep me young at heart. You all have given me fond memories I will cherish forever.
Please continue your support for your new Cubmaster, Mark Palmer. He is a wonderful person with great enthusiasm. His success is your success.
God bless you and your family and have a Merry Christmas!!

FROM NOW
It will not matter
What my bank account was,
The sort of house I lived in,
Or the type of car I drove.
But the world may be different,
Because I was important in
The life of a boy.
