250 Campout & Graduation
We are quickly approaching our Graduation Campout Apr 23rd – 25th. It is at Camp Bud Schiele on the Piedmont Scout Reservation in Rutherfordton, NC. There are several options for attending the Graduation Campout:
1) Arrive at 4pm on Friday and camp Friday night and Saturday night, leaving on Sunday morning
2) Arrive on Saturday morning, setup tent and have lunch, participate in the Cubmazing Race and graduation Sat evening and camp overnight leaving on Sunday morning,
3) Arrive on Saturday, have lunch, participate in the afternoon race and evening graduation, and drive home Sat night. Options 3 might make for a long day and long drive in the dark, but a few people have done this in the past.

We need a head count for Saturday lunch of all Adults, Scouts and Siblings by next Sunday, April 11th. Look for a separate e-Vite to be sent out for Graduation Campout and please reply to the e-vite so that we have enough food.We’re are also getting close so the due date for all Webelos Camp Registration Forms and Fees (April 22nd)! Please send all info to Kaye Boone or your Den Leader.
Here are the planned activities for the Cubmazing Race on Sat afternoon with Dens who will be leading:Fishing – Someone to show the boys how to fish (bait a hook, etc). (Den 6)Compass Challenge (Den 5)Hike / Scavenger Hunt (Den 4)Sports Challenge (Ball Toss, Dizzy Bats, Horseshoes, Tug-o-war) (Den 8)Food Challenge – (Blindfolded guess the food, Food Trivia, Food Pyramid) (Den 10)

Leader for short Sunday Chapel ServiceThanks to those who have already volunteeredKen Ramaley will be coordinating Saturdays Lunch. Please indicate in the eVite if scouts or parents would like Ribs (at an extra charge) instead of hot dogs / hamburgers.Directions: >From I-85 Take Exit 10 – US 74
Take Hwy. 74 West go approx. 20 miles pass Shelby towards Forest City.
Take Exit 181 Forest City/Spindale Exit
Exit will veer right –stay straight on 4-lane rd.
Road will turn into two lane rd (Rock Rd.). at the intersection with Bi-Lo, McDonalds, KFC, and Eckerd.
Go through the town of Ruth and continue to go straight
You will cross over Hwy 64 and Pass Tanner outlet on right. Go to the end of Rock Rd.
Make a Left onto Hudlow Rd
Proceed on Hudlow Road approx. ½ a mile to Boy Scout Road – take a right at the first entrance on the right.
Follow the “250” signs to the designated parking lot.

Friday, April 23rd (optional):
4pm Camp opens for Pack 250
Unload and set-up Camp (Stay out of the lake)
Explore camp (DO NOT TOUCH ANY FENCES)
Prepare your evening meal, eat, and clean-up
10pm Lights Out, Everyone to bed, NO EXCEPTIONSSaturday, April 24th :
8am Rise and Shine
Get dressed (Pack T-shirt is PERFECT!), wash-up
Prepare your breakfast, eat, and clean-up
11am Lunch Preparation begins (Pack will
provide food and drink)
Noon Pack-wide Lunch at the Pavilion
2pm Cubmazing Race – Activity Stations begin
5pm Prepare your dinner, eat, and clean-up
7:00pm Pack Meeting (in uniform)· Surprise announcement of new event
· Each Den will present a skit (I should hear it first)
· Badges will be presented
· Bring a flashlight and something to sit onSunday, April 25th :
