It’s Time To Join Cub Scouts In Fort Mill and Tega Cay

Cub Scout Pack 250, chartered by Grace Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill and Tega Cay SC, is inviting your son to join scouting. School Night For Scouting is scheduled at Fort Mill School District’s Gold Hill Elementary Thursday evening on September 2, 2010 . This is a great opportunity to meet the leaders of Cub Scout Pack 250, learn more about scouting, and sign up.

Boys ages 7 to 10 years old entering the first grade to fifth grade can join the Cub Scout Pack. The boys can come from anywhere in the Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Baxter Village, or  Fort Mill Township area.  You don’t have to be a student of Gold Hill Elementary to meet with us September 2^nd and join Pack 250. We invite boys attending other schools whether public, private, or home schooled.

Why join scouting? Here are some of the exciting events Cub Scout Pack 250 is planning this year:

• Build and Race a Pinewood Derby car.
• November trip and sleep over on the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier.
• Rain Gutter Regatta boat race.
• Family camping trips in August, September, November, April and more.
• Summer camps.
• Model rocket building and launching.
• Make and race a Junk Yard Racer.
• March in Parades in Fort Mill Christmas parade and Tega Cay July 4^th parade.
• Blue and Gold Banquet.
• Mother Son Dance.
• Group sporting events like the Checkers, Knights, Charlotte Motor Speedway.
• Collecting food for the food bank.

If you can’t make School Night For Scouting, come to Pack 250’s pack meeting open house Tuesday September 7, 2010 at 7pm. The pack meeting will be at Grace Presbyterian Church located at 2955 W. HWY 160 Fort Mill, SC 29708.

The Pack meeting will be a special open house style meeting showing off all of the fun activities the scouts are involved in all year and a new leader and parent meeting orientation.
