Hello Pack 250 families:
Here is the cub scout calendar for April! The big event this month is Graduation Campout. A separate email was sent with the details (directions, times, events, etc) for graduation campout and an e-vite will be sent shortly. Please reply to the e-vite so that we have an accurate headcount for campsites and food. The Scout Expo is touring the country and we’re lucky enough to have Charlotte as one of the expo locations. The purpose of the expo is to celebrate the 100th anniversary of scouting and demonstrate scouting activities to the public. Also, we’ll be receiving our Rocket Kits in April in preparation for the Rocket Launch on May 18th. The District Pinewood Derby is on April 17th, anyone may attend. There will be food, games, prizes, and the best of the best will be racing – let’s go support the winners from Pack 250 – Jonathan Patyk, Jason Cauble, and Alex Boone in the big district race. Thanks to everyone who participated in the adopt a park program at Pitcairn Park. We will continue with monthly cleanup activities at the park, a schedule for each den will follow and participation will count toward the World Conservation awards. Please plan accordingly for these April events, I look forward to seeing everyone! Read the rest of this entry »

No matter rain, sleet, or snow the Pack must march on!Pack 250 braves the weather elements on Saturday December 5th 2009 and marches in the Fort Mill, SC parade. Luckily the rain held off for the parade but it was cold.
Pictured left are our Webelos getting ready with the lead flags for the parade in a Norman Rockwell style painting/photo .
The District asked our Pack to carry the Scouting for Food banner.
We had a fair turn out of scouts and parents. Read the rest of this entry »

Friday December 4 update:
Our spot for the parade is 42. The parade will start at 11am. Please be in line by 10:30am. Keep in mind that the roads leading to downtown Ft Mill will be closed off about 30 minutes before the parade begins.
According to our spot last year, we will probably be close to the back of the cemetery or middle. Look for spot 42. Matt will be there with Westley.
The parade is scheduled to go on rain or shine. If it is down pouring, they will make a decision by 8am.
Pack 250 Families,
The Pack will participate in the Fort Mill Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 5th. Scouts will walk the parade route. Dens are encouraged to bring their junkyard racer and take turns pushing and steering with adult help. Families are encouraged to walk with us. You may bring strollers or wagons for younger siblings. The Webelos dens will carry the Pack, State and United States flags.
Scouts must have an adult with them at all times. Tiger cubs must have a parent with them. Den Leaders may not take responsibility for tiger cubs, except their own scout. We can not make any exceptions to the rule. This is a BSA rule. Read the rest of this entry »
